A fine mid 19th century 2 day marine chronometer by John Poole, London, who was regarded as one of the finest chronometer makers of his period. This example has his auxiliary compensation, allowing it to be far more accurate in colder climates.
Numbered on the movement and in the bowl,it is in lovely original condition and has been fully cleaned and has its outer deck box
and has a brass mounted rosewood three tier box.
