A rare early 19th century two day marine chronometer by Parkinson and Frodsham number 1002
This chronometer has been in the same family for over 100 years and is in the original mahogany case with numbered plaque and even retains the original numbered key. The movement has had a complete service and clean
The signed chain fusee movement has cylindrical ring-turned pillars and bi-metallic compensated balance with diamond endpiece, blued steel hairspring, Earnshaw spring detent escapement and an internal springed dust cover. The chronometer retains its charming original tipsey winding key numbered 1002.
Complete with deck box and a fantastic trade label in the lid of the box that I have never seen before
We would be pleased to acquire items of a similar nature.
